Mission Statement: The office of the Township Clerk strives to achieve a courteous, service- oriented team of professionals who in connection with the Township Council provide quality service to our customers. Our mission is to retain and protect all Township documents and public records; to provide voter registration and administer all elections; to serve as the secretary to the Council and finally to serve as an information officer and reference center to the public.

| LICENSES AND PERMITS THAT ARE ISSUED BY THE CLERK'S OFFICE |
- The Township Clerk attends all official meetings of the Township Council and is responsible for the keeping of the minutes, the official records of each proceeding
- The Office is responsible for preparation of agendas, minutes, ordinances and resolutions for the Township Council
- The Office provides public information and responds to requests for public record information, certifies and distributes ordinances and resolutions
- This department publishes and posts legal notices, processes claims and lawsuits and is responsible for the maintenance and distribution of the Washington Township Code.
- The Township Clerk is responsible for the conduct of all municipal elections, and provides assistance to the Gloucester County Board of Election with voter registration.
- The Township Clerk is the official custodian of all the records of the Township. The Clerk is also the custodian of the official Township Seal.
- Sale of Township maps
- The Clerkâs Office maintains Performance Bonds and Maintenance Bonds for the development projects within the Township
